Congratulations to our All-County Band Students

Gabriel Gresh, Skylar Hullett, and Harley Marquez were selected to the Polk County School Board’s  All-County Band. We are very proud of you and your accomplishments. We know you will represent us well!

In The News. . .

Our school has made the news!  On the Polk County School Board’s web page, there is an article about Mrs. Carson’s class and the  recycling program they created.  You can read all about it here:

Citrus Ridge Recycling

Thank you to Mrs. Carson and her students who help make a difference in our school and our planet!

Citrus Ridge: A Civics Academy is proud to announce our Teacher and School Related Employee of the Year!

Our School Related Employee of the Year is Ms. Melissa Arwood!  Ms. Arwood is a great asset to our school, as she does anything and everything! Whether it is bus duty or cafeteria duty or coaching, she does it all!  We appreciate all she does for our school.

Our Teacher of the Year is Coach Emily Retzlaff.  Coach Retzlaff not only deals with all the middle school girls, but also serves as our Athletic Director.  She manages all our teams, coordinates buses and home game staff as well as making sure we all have our red Pioneer Pride t-shirts. We love you Coach!

Thank you so much for supporting our Book Fair.  We had a goal of selling 1200 books, which equals 216,000 minutes of reading. We not only met, but exceeded that goal, reading over 1400 books.   That translates into over 4000 HOURS of reading.  The books ordered online have been delivered and the Book Fair carts have been taken away. Not only does the Book Fair help our students read, but we earned almost $5000 to spend on books and materials for our school. We couldn’t do it without your support.  Special thanks to our fabulous volunteers, who worked countless hours to help our Fair succeed.   We appreciate all your do for us.
